If you have an existing website, but need traffic from mobile devices, our mobile search engine advertising services build dedicated campaigns that are specific to smartphones or tablets, or both.
Mobile apps
We have a dedicated team with experience of building mobile Apps for iOS, Android and Windows. We also have a good understanding of the market so can advise on the most suitable platform for your business.
Growing mobile ownership and use
Below are some fascinating statistics which really emphasize how important this sector is now and how the market is literally going to skyrocket. Is your business ready to take advantage of this lucrative niche?
According to recent Ofcom research:
- Over 58% of the UK population now own a smartphone
- Up to 28% of households are predicted to own a tablet within the next 12 months.
Faster domestic broadband speeds also mean that people are using their phones and tablets to access the internet more and more:
- 42% use their phones to use social networks
- 51% watch video clips
- 40% consider their phone to be ‘the most important device for accessing the internet’
- 20% research products on their phone whilst watching telephones
Increased sales
Statistics from the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) also show sales via mobile devices are also increasing dramatically. UK sales totalled £181.5m for the first half of 2012 - 132% growth on the previous year, and 39% average annual growth is predicted to 2016, totalling around £4.8 billion. And in the run-up to Christmas 2012, smartphones and tablets accounted for over a quarter of all clicks on paid search ads (Kenshoo).
According to Tim Elkington, Director of Research & Strategy at the Internet Advertising Bureau, 60 out of UK’s 100 biggest advertisers don’t have mobile-optimised websites. But he estimates that visitors will spend almost 70% more time on a site which is mobile optimised. These kind of statistics show how much room for growth there is in this market, and how beneficial it is likely to be to your business.
