Westcore Europe
Westcore is a US-based property investment company with European offices in London and Geneva, as well as commercial and industrial properties throughout Europe. Our brief was to create a distinct European online presence for the company, so using a .EU domain for what will be a multi-language web site was essential.
Wordpress was the perfect foundation for this site, as it provides a full content management system and is excellent for Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). Frameworks such as Wordpress also make multi-language features straightforward to implement.
We added a customised, configurable image slideshow with navigation and play / pause functionality. The slides also optionally display a headline and introductory text, which allows linking through to landing pages.
Using Wordpress meant we were able to create a flexible design which allows alternate layouts on different pages – useful for giving users the ability to create image galleries or plain text content on any page.
Westcore plans to continue expanding its European online presence by developing translations and SEO across a number of national domains and in multiple languages. So far, it is also available in French, and users are able to switch between the two simply by clicking on a flag icon. From an administrator point of view, the two versions are just as easy to manage as one. Other languages are currently in development.
We are currently developing an Investor login area, specifically for Westcore clients.
